Contact Right is built by one person, for men who take their character seriously. This policy tells you plainly what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. No legal padding — just the facts.
Who We Are
Contact Right is operated by its founder, based in Australia. For privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@contactright.co.
What We Collect
- Account data — when you create an account in the app, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
- Purchase data — if you buy a card deck, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We store your name, email, and order details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — basic, anonymised analytics on how the website and app are used (page views, feature usage). No personal profiles are built.
- Communications — if you email us or sign up for updates, we store your email address and the content of your message.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (see below).
- We do not run advertising or build advertising profiles.
Third Parties We Use
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Data stored on servers in the United States.
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Netlify — app hosting. Basic server logs may be retained per Netlify's standard policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
Your Rights
Under Australian privacy law (Privacy Act 1988), and where applicable under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@contactright.co. We'll respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Purchase records are retained for 7 years as required by Australian tax law. You can request deletion of your account at any time.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify active users by email where appropriate.
