The Forge · An Invitation

Someone's
asked you in.

A man handed you this card because he's not doing this alone. He thought of you.

01

What he's asking

The Forge is a deck of 52 cards. Each one carries a single word and two honest questions: the conversations most men never have.

He wants to work through them, and he wants you across the table. Maybe just the two of you. Maybe a small squad of 3 to 6 men. One card at a time.

It isn't a course and it isn't a sales pitch. No one's grading you. It's a conversation.

02

What to do next

  1. Text him. His number's on the front of the card. Tell him you're in, or ask him what it's about.
  2. Get the app so you can follow along card by card.
  3. Want your own deck? Then you've got five invitations of your own to hand out.

All 52 cards

W1 · The Creed
Strength
The capacity to carry what your life requires, physically, emotionally, and spiritually or without collapsing.
W2 · The Creed
Honour
The standard you hold yourself to regardless of who's watching, what it costs, or whether anyone will ever know.
On your card
W3 · The Creed
Courage
Courage is not the absence of fear but the refusal to allow fear to make your decisions for you.
W4 · The Creed
Wisdom
The ability to see beyond the moment and choose what endures. A wise man doesn't fight every battle. He knows which ones are worth having, and that restraint is where his real strength lives.
W5 · The Creed
Discipline
Doing what is required even when motivation has left the room. It's the foundation of every character quality worth having
W6 · The Creed
Sacrifice
The deliberate surrender of something good for something better. The willingness to pay a price that no one may ever see or thank you for.
W7 · The Creed
Protection
Using your strength to guard the people and things entrusted to you from the harm you have the power to prevent.
W8 · The Creed
Leadership
Who you are speaks louder than anything you say. The man worth following leads by serving, not by demanding. His character sets the tone even before a word is spoken.
W9 · The Creed
Humility
Strength under control. The peace to stand in your own skin without needing to be superior, right, or recognised.
W10 · The Renewed Man
Trust
Trusting what is true even when you cannot see the outcome. The decision to act on what you believe rather than waiting for certainty that never comes.
W11 · The Creed
Love
Is more than being nice or showing affection, it tells the truth, holds the standard and desires the best for those you care for.
W12 · The Creed
Provision
The maturity to take full responsibility for the material and spiritual needs of those in your care, not as a burden, but as a privilege of the role you carry.
W13 · The Reckoning
Shame
The belief that you are fundamentally flawed. Not that you did something wrong, but that you are something wrong. It's the voice that says you do not deserve to become anything different.
W14 · The Reckoning
Pride
The refusal to be known accurately. The insistence on being seen as more capable, more together, or more right than you actually are.
W15 · The Reckoning
Anger
An emotion, not a character flaw. It tells you something matters, a boundary has been crossed, or a fear has run out of room. The question is what you do with it.
W16 · The Reckoning
Fear
Often the force behind avoidance, aggression, and self-protection. Unexamined fear is the enemy. Named fear loses power.
W17 · The Reckoning
Bitterness
What negative emotions become when left unaddressed. A slow poison that damages the man carrying it far more than anyone it's aimed at.
W18 · The Reckoning
Lust
The appetite for sexual gratification that overrides a man's judgment and reduces another person to an object. Not desire, that is human. Lust is desire without conscience
W19 · The Reckoning
Greed
The belief that enough is never enough. A relentless pursuit for material gain or success, yet it's never enough.
W20 · The Outer Man
Fasting
Deliberate, timed abstinence from food. Not deprivation, but training. Going without clears the body and sharpens the mind. Fasting ensures your appetite doesn't own you.
W21 · The Foundation
Priority
Priority is not what you say. What you truly value is on display when you look at where you invest your time, money and energy.
W22 · The Reckoning
Wounds
The places where life broke through and left a mark. Unfinished business that shapes your behaviour and impacts those around you until you deal with it honestly.
W23 · The Turn
Forgiveness
The choice to release someone who has hurt you. Not because they deserve it, but because holding onto it's destroying you and keeping you chained to the past.
W24 · The Turn
Surrender
The strength to release what you cannot control. Not giving up, but letting go of the grip that is exhausting you and preventing something better from forming.
W25 · The Reckoning
Suffering
The forge itself. A man either refuses its heat or allows it to refine him into something stronger and more useful. Suffering faced builds the character of a man worth following
W26 · The Reckoning
Grief
The price we pay for love. When we lose something precious, there's a road we must walk before we can carry what comes next.
W27 · The Turn
Truth
The commitment to see things as they actually are, and not a managed version of reality. The price of a mans managed reality is his opportunity to grow.
W28 · The Turn
Conscience
The internal voice that knows the difference between right and wrong before your mind starts negotiating. Most men have learned to argue with it rather than listen to it.
W29 · The Rebuild
Guilt
The weight of harm you have caused. Not a verdict on who you are, that is Shame. Guilt names the specific wrong and calls you to face what you did to someone else
W30 · The Turn
Honesty
Telling the truth even when it would be easier not to, with yourself and with those around you. Most dishonesty begins internally, long before it reaches another person.
W31 · The Turn
Intention
The deliberate decision to think about and plan for others before the moment requires it. Not grand gestures. The quiet habit of asking what someone needs and acting on it before they have to ask.
W32 · The Foundation
Identity
The settled answer to who you are. Not what you do, earn, or what others think of you, but the bedrock that remains when all of that is stripped away.
W33 · The Rebuild
Self-Awareness
The ability to see yourself accurately. Your patterns, your triggers, your blind spots, without the distortion of ego or the paralysis of self-criticism.
W34 · The Rebuild
Self-Control
The authority a man exercises over his own impulses. The gap between stimulus and response where character is either built or surrendered.
W35 · The Rebuild
Brotherhood
No man is meant to do life alone. You need a band of brothers who know you, fight for you, and call you higher. Not contacts. Men who show up when it costs them.
W36 · The Creed
Consistency
The unwavering application of your values, every day, regardless of how you feel. Character is not decided in the big moments but in the accumulated weight of the ordinary ones.
W37 · The Rebuild
Perseverance
Continuing in the right direction when nothing in you wants to. Not because it feels good, but because the man you are becoming requires it.
W38 · The Rebuild
Patience
The refusal to force an outcome before its time. Trusting the process when results are slow and the pressure to act is high.
W39 · The Turn
Vulnerability
Allowing yourself to be fully seen by others. Allowing other men to see what it actually costs you to live your life, without the masks most men never take off.
W40 · The Renewed Man
Presence
Complete focus on the person in front of you. Most men are physically present but mentally elsewhere. To be fully present means choosing to ditch the distractions, especially the phone.
W41 · The Renewed Man
Solitude
Time alone with yourself. Not isolation, but the deliberate practice of being with your own thoughts long enough to hear what you actually think, feel, and believe.
W42 · The Commissioned Man
Battle
You were made to fight for the people you love and the good worth defending. You were born into a world at war. The battle is not about aggression but strength offered over passivity
W43 · The Foundation
Worth
The settled knowledge that you have value that is not earned by performance, approval, or achievement. It cannot be taken away by failure, rejection, or the opinion of others.
W44 · The Foundation
Purpose
The specific reason you are here. Not a job title or a goal, but the directional force that gives your life meaning and your suffering a context.
W45 · The Renewed Man
Integrity
When who you are is unchanging, whether in private, in public, under pressure or in the dark. Not perfect, but whole, consistent character across every context.
W46 · The Renewed Man
Play
Time given to what brings you joy. Not escape, or duty in disguise. Real play renews life. The man who never plays runs dry.
W47 · The Reckoning
Expectation
What you believe you are owed by life, by others, by yourself. These beliefs, if left unexamined, can become the source of frustration and bitterness.
W48 · The Foundation
Soul
The part of you that exists beneath your achievements, your failures, your reputation and your body. The irreducible core of who you are that outlasts everything else.
W49 · The Outer Man
Exercise
The discipline of consistently showing up for your body. Not for vanity, but because a man who ignores his physical condition is neglecting one of the primary tools he has been given.
W50 · The Outer Man
Nutrition
What you eat and drink fuels your capacity. The strength, energy, and clarity to carry your role and cover those who depend on you. Slow neglect is not stewardship.
W51 · The Outer Man
Rest
The deliberate recovery that a man's body, mind, and soul require to function at the level his life demands. This is not laziness. It requires discipline to stop in a fast-paced world.
W52 · The Commissioned Man
Adventure
A pull toward something untamed and bigger than you, not a controlled, predictable existence. Life was meant to be lived wild, with risk and mystery!

The card on the back of your invitation is Courage. Each card in the deck also carries two questions. Those are for the table.
